We take pride in representing all kinds of employees in a variety of challenging situations. For example, we negotiate severance agreements for laid off or terminated employees. We represent terminated employees in regard to claims for unemployment benefits, and we represent employees who have been discharged or otherwise discriminated against because they sought workers’ compensation benefits. We also advise and represent employees in regard to non-compete agreements. We represent employees who have been victimized by unlawful employment discrimination in proceedings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (the EEOC) and in federal and state courts. We represent federal, state, county and municipal employees in appeals to the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board and in similar state, county and municipal civil service proceedings. We represent state and local government whistleblowers who have been retaliated against by their employers. We also represent public school administrators, teachers and support staff in grievances, complaints and appeals to the Superintendent and/or School Board, and in federal and state courts.
We also advise, counsel and represent employers in many of the same types of situations. For example, we represent employers in defending claims for unemployment benefits, Texas Payday Law claims, and claims of discrimination before both the EEOC and the Texas Commission on Human Rights, and in federal and state courts. In addition, we advise and counsel employers in regard to hiring practices, personnel policies and procedures, wage and hour issues, promotion decisions, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions.
Many employees need an advocate. Most employers need a counselor. If you need an advocate or a counselor, or both, contact us. You may contact us by mail, telephone, or e-mail. We will respond promptly.
